Spanish remains one of the easiest languages to learn, however, I find that learning Spanish is much easier by going at your own pace. When I tried learning Spanish in school, I always found it intimidating as the teachers weren't very patient and some students seemed to know the language fluently already.

Personally, I say good riddance to the pressure of learning a language. Information is retained much better when you have fun learning.
